NEW YORK, PR Newswire: The prominent human rights organization American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), its Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) program and the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force (VAST) will be hosting the first-ever human rights conference dedicated to exposing the plight of women under Islamic law in Dearborn, Michigan on the anniversary of the honor murder of Jessica Mokdad: the Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference.

The Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference will be held at the Hyatt Hotel in Dearborn. After bowing to Islamic supremacist pressure and canceling a speech by Pamela Geller that had been scheduled for a Hyatt in Nashville, Tennessee, the Hyatt reversed its stance, recovered its understanding of the American principle of free speech, apologized and offered AFDI space in a Hyatt for a future Conference to make it up the human rights organization. Geller chose the Hyatt in Dearborn to stand in solidarity there with girls who are in danger of being victimized like Jessica Mokdad.

Jessica Mokdad was a 20-year-old Muslim woman in Warren, Michigan, who was brutally murdered in May 2011. Fox News Detroit reported: “Authorities say a Minnesota man killed his 20-year-old stepdaughter in Michigan because she left home and wasn't following Islam.” Jessica’s stepfather, a devout Muslim, tracked his stepdaughter over four states to murder her for bringing dishonor on her family.

AFDI Executive Director Pamela Geller said in a statement: “We’ve named the Conference after her as part of our ongoing campaign to raise awareness and bring a stop to the phenomenon of Islamic honor killing. These girls have rights, too, they’re human beings, and yet they’re completely forgotten in our politically correct culture, in which speech that is offensive to Islam is increasingly forbidden. We’re standing for the human rights of girls like Jessica Mokdad.”

Geller added: “AFDI tried to place ads on Detroit-area buses offering help to people wishing to leave Islam and threatened by their families. Detroit SMART Transit refused the ads, and we sued on free speech grounds. We won, and the ads were scheduled to run, but Detroit SMART still refused to run them – and the same week they were supposed to run, Jessica Mokdad was murdered. Perhaps if she had seen one of our ads, she would be alive today. This underscores the cowardice of Detroit-area officials and the need for this Conference in Dearborn. We welcome women seeking help and resources to escape dangerous and misogynist households.”

The confirmed list of speakers includes ex-Muslim human rights activist Nonie Darwish; Sudanese ex-slave and freedom fighter Simon Deng; and James Lafferty of the Virginia Anti-Sharia Taskforce (VAST), co-host of the Conference. Also speaking will be David Wood of Acts 17 Apologetics, a Christian group that is suing the city of Dearborn for covering up Islamic honor killings performed in the area – that cover-up, and the resulting suit, will also be a focus of the Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference

The CBS Outdoor bus ad company restored the ads after Miami-Dade Transit bowed to a threatened lawsuit by its attorneys David Yerushalmi and Robert Muise (the latter of the Thomas More Law Center) on behalf of SIOA executive director Pamela Geller and associate director Robert Spencer for breach of contract and infringement of their First Amendment free speech rights.

The South Florida chapter of the Hamas-linked Islamic supremacist hate group Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) had pressured Miami-Dade Transit to drop SIOA's religious liberty ads, which offer aid to Muslims threatened for leaving Islam.

The SIOA ad at issue, which will now run on thirty buses, not just on the original 10 buses on which it ran originally in Miami-Dade County, stated: "Leaving Islam? Fatwa on your head? Family or community threatening you? Got questions? Get answers! RefugefromIslam.com."

SIOA has evidence that, all over the world, Muslims trying to leave Islam are regularly threatened and even murdered. Recently, apostates from Islam have been killed in Bangladesh, Chad, Somalia, and threatened with death in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, and Nigeria – as well as in Australia, Britain and the United States, where the teenage Christian convert Rifqa Bary has been threatened and victimized. Saudi Arabia also subjects apostates to capital punishment.

Yet the Executive Director of the South Florida chapter of the CAIR hate group, Muhammed Malik, made a patently false and misleading statement in a Miami Herald story about Miami-Dade Transit's capitulation to Sharia: "Islam guarantees freedom to and freedom from religion. . . . [We] reject as un-Islamic any extremist interpretation that sanctions the killing of any individual because she decided to 'leave Islam.'"

Malik's statement is explicitly contradicted by the command of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam and supreme example of conduct for the Muslim: "Whoever changes his Islamic religion, then kill him." (Bukhari 9.84.57) Contrary to Malik's claim, all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence teach that a sane adult male who leaves Islam must be killed. As pointed out above, this is not some theoretical Sharia dictate; this is extant law in every Muslim country that follows Islamic law.

Thus, the internationally renowned Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi of Al-Jazeera has said that "Muslim jurists are unanimous that apostates must be punished…The majority of them…agree that apostates must be executed."

Ironically, the Council on American-Islamic Relations presents itself as a civil rights organization, a claim often parroted by media outlets; but in reality, CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case -- so named by the Justice Department. In this trial, the evidence demonstrated that CAIR founders Omar Ahmad and Niwad Awad (who still serves as CAIR's executive director), were present at a Hamas planning meeting in Philadelphia in 1993 where they and other Hamas operatives conspired to raise funds for Hamas and to promote jihad in the Middle East. CAIR has steadfastly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups.

Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror:

• Ghassan Elashi, founder of CAIR's Texas chapter, in 2009 received a 65-year prison sentence for funneling over $12 million from the Islamic charity known as the Holy Land Foundation to the jihad terrorist group Hamas, which is responsible for murdering hundreds of Israeli civilians
• Mousa Abu Marzook, a former CAIR official, was in 1995 designated by the U.S. government in 1995 as a "terrorist and Hamas leader." He now is a Hamas leader in Syria.
• Randall Royer, CAIR's former civil rights coordinator, in 2004 began serving a 20-year prison sentence for aiding al-Qaida and the Taliban against American troops in Afghanistan and recruiting for Lashkar e-Taiba, the jihadist group responsible for the 2008 Mumbai jihad massacres.
• Bassem Khafagi, CAIR's former community relations director, was arrested for involvement with the Islamic Assembly of North America, which was linked to al-Qaida. After pleading guilty to visa and bank fraud charges, Khafagi was deported.
• Rabih Haddad, a former CAIR fundraiser, was deported for his work with the Global Relief Foundation (which he co-founded), a terror-financing organization.

In 1998 Omar Ahmad, CAIR's co-founder and longtime Board Chairman, said: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

After he received unwelcome publicity as a result of this statement, Ahmad denied saying it, several years after the fact. However, the original reporter, Lisa Gardiner of the Fremont Argus, stands by her story.

CAIR's spokesman Ibrahim Hooper once said: "I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future."

CAIR also defamed the leaders of FDI and SIOA, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, in its press release about the initial but short-lived success of its campaign of intimidation against the freedom of speech and the freedom of religion.

Miami Dade Transit Kills Bus Campaign: Caves to Islamist Supremacist Pressure

Do not insult Islam

Miami Transit has pulled our ads.

This is living under sharia (Islamic) law. They are pulling our SIOA ads off the buses in South Florida because they offend Muslims.

So Muslims can run bus ads all across America inviting the clueless to convert to Islam, but we cannot make information available to Muslims who want to leave Islam.

Still think this is a free country? At least three of the bus companies that ran the dawah (invitation to Islam) bus ads turned down our ad. And Miami tore the ads down in less than 48 hours.

Miami-Dade Transit says it will remove `offensive' bus ads JAWEED KALEEM, Miami Herald

Miami-Dade Transit is pulling advertisements from 10 buses that South Florida Muslims have said are offensive to Islam.

The ads, which went up Tuesday, said ``Fatwa on your head? Is your community or family threatening you?'' and directed Muslims to a website to encouraging them to leave Islam.

Robert Spencer, who heads New York-based Stop the Islamization of America, which purchased the ads for one-month as the first leg of a national campaign, said they were ``offered in defense of religious liberty.''

But on Thursday, Miami-Dade Transit spokeswoman Karla Damian said that after reviewing the ads, the department decided they ``may be offensive to Islam'' and would remove them before the buses ran on Friday.

Damian said the ads were able to initially go up because Miami-Dade Transit has an outside company sell ad space and does not routinely review ads before they run.

The South Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations had critiqued the ads as promoting ``bigotry'' and making false statements about Islam.

``Islam guarantees freedom to and freedom from religion. . . . [We] reject as un-Islamic any extremist interpretation that sanctions the killing of any individual because she decided to `leave Islam,'' said director Muhammed Malik.

Liar. Muhammad Malik is part of CAIR, the Hamas-tied un-indicted co-conspirator, Muslim Brotherhood terror-tied group. And if what Malik said were so, the ads would run. And what about the thousands of dead apostates, or Al Azhar University, the leading Islamic university in the world, that issued this fatwa -- a death warrant on apostates:

Here is the fatwa, proof that death "is a very normal part of Islamic law for apostasy and for every muslim its an honor to CLEAN the umma if Rifqa is dead."

Fatwa committee concerning the case of a man who converted to Christianity: "Since he left the Islam, he will be invited to express his regret. If he does not regret, he will be killed pertaining to rights and obligations of the Islamic law."

The bus campaigns that Muslim Brotherhood groups (CAIR, ICNA, ISNA) were sponsoring across the country inviting conversion to Islam (dawah) were deceptive and injurious. So I created this bus campaign especially after what I saw was done to Rifqa Bary.

Submission. The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations can run bus ads all over the country calling Abraham, Moses and Jesus Muslim prophets, an assertion offensive to any Jew or Christian, but a human rights group cannot run bus ads defending religious liberty. Some groups that are "offended" get contempt and mockery if they express their feelings of offense. Others get immediate results, perhaps due to the thuggish nature of their coreligionists.

Dear Ms. Damian:

I recently read of your department’s decision to pull the bus ads that provided information to individuals who desire to leave Islam. I understand that the department arrived at its decision because it was “offensive” to Muslims. Considering that the County uses public buses for advertising revenue and that by doing so it solicits the public to use such space for public speech, the department’s decision to pull an ad off a public bus because a minority group may perceive it as “offensive” is tantamount to governmental interference with free speech (See the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution, Section 4 of the Florida Constitution and Virginia v. Black, 538 U.S. 343 (2003)). Moreover, I have to wonder to what degree the advertising party’s contract rights have been interfered with. In any event, by pulling these bus ads, I presume that the department will be vigilant in monitoring ads in the future so that they not offend any “minority” (e.g., I have to imagine that ads for strip clubs, raunchy radio stations must be offensive to some minority population in the County). This is a very disappointing example of politically correct government, once again, kowtowing to the perceived offenses of a minority and establishes a precedent vis-à-vis bus advertising on public buses in Miami-Dade County. Every day it seems that any minority can yell that “so & so” uttered an opposing viewpoint and that such a viewpoint is “offensive, racist, hate speech, bigotry, etc.” (the ad in question was clearly not hate speech insofar as it did not communicate a serious expression of intent to commit an act of unlawful violence or an intent to intimidate) with the end result being that the minority’s perceptions override precepts of freedom of speech, debate and the free marketplace of ideas. To be clear, I have seen the ads promoting Islam on Miami-Dade County buses and I consider such advertising to be protected speech under the aforementioned cited authorities. However, your department’s decision in the instant matter is troubling and very disappointing. Thank you for your time.

Its a shame things are so 1 sided. I wonder if Mrs. Geller toned it down to a level where Cair wouldnt be able to make an intollerance complaint but could still get the message out if this could be successful.

You're whistling in the dark. Everyone tones down what they say in order to placate the Muslims. Ultimately that is the road to Sharia and dhimmitude. What is offensive about our ad? What is wrong with its tone? Apostates are threatened and killed all over the world. We offered them help. What would you suggest we tone down? What would you suggest we not say in order to please them? Why must we always play this game, instead of speaking the truth without fear? There is nothing objectively wrong or offensive about our ad. You're falling into their trap, allowing them to define what is offensive and what isn't. I refuse to do so.

And even if our ad were offensive to someone, so what? I am offended by all sorts of things. I wouldn't dream of trying to get them suppressed because they offend me, and no one would take me seriously if I did. But Muslims are already a de facto privileged class, even in America -- if I'm offended, no one gives two hoots and no one should, but if Muslims are offended, watch out! Heaven and earth will move!

The group that is allowed to suppress speech with which it disagrees, or which it finds offensive, is a group that can suppress dissent and carry out its will unchallenged. That is the road to tyranny.

SIOA Nationwide Ad Campaign Kicks off in Miami: "Leaving Islam" Bus Ads Hits the Streets

Today our SIOA "Leaving Islam" ad campaign rolled out on the streets of Miami in response to the misleading CAIR dawah (invitation to islam) bus campaign.

This is the first time anyone has offered public help to those who are threatened under Islam's apostasy law. In the Land of the Free, government and law enforcement should be on this. But they aren't. So we are. It is time for free citizens to stand for freedom -- or lose it.

One of the first projects that we've been working on for Stop the Islamization of America and the Freedom Defense Initiative organization that I started with Robert Spencer was a bus campaign to counter the dawah campaign of the Muslim Brotherhood.

For those of you curious as to why we created and organized a bus campaign to offer resources to Muslims who are desperate to leave Islam, I shall explain.

The bus campaigns that Muslim Brotherhood groups (CAIR, ICNA, ISNA) were sponsoring across the country inviting conversion to Islam (dawah) were deceptive and injurious. It was important to counter balance the taqiya with a healthy message ............ So I developed the above bus ad with the help of the enormously talented Big Fur Hat to roll out nationwide, kicking off with South Florida.

Our pro-freedom campaign rolled out today on the following buses all over Miami -- Route 3 (Biscayne Blvd and US1), Route 88 (Kendall Drive SW 88th Street, from the Dade and North Metro Rail station to SW 80th street)), 1 on route 40 (Bird Road SW 40th Street), Route L (Hialeah along 79th Street Causeway, Collins Avenue to Miami Beach Convention Center), Route E (Collins Avenue), Route 11 (FIU Bus terminal to FIU South campus, West Flagler street ends at Government center Metro station) -- split between curb side and street side.

Stop Islamisation Of Europe (SIOE) is an alliance of people across Europe with the single aim of preventing Islam becoming a dominant political force in Europe.
It originated with the joining of Stop Islamificering Af Danmark (SIAD), a political party dedicated to stopping the Islamisation in Denmark, with a loose association of people in England, whose rallying cry is “No Sharia Here”, who want to maintain English law and want to stop the creeping growth of sharia law in England.
SIOE is growing in Europe with the amalgamation of similarly minded groups.

Stephen and I have discussed for quite some time the fact that SIOA has not developed in the direction we wanted. There are groups enough who just write about the danger of Islam, but very few groups that actually do something to try to stop the Islamisation of the Western civilization.

SIOA was meant to be a group that should take action, staging demonstrations, happenings and events against the Islamisation of the U.S.

The way Stephen and I see it, we need to make SIOA more active. And in order to do that, we have now — after working for a long time to persuade them to take this on — gotten a yes from both Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer to become the leaders of SIOA.

We think they are the right people to bring SIOA to the forefront in the fight against the Islamisation of the U.S.

Tim Kaine at a fundraising dinner for the controversial mosque Dar Al Hijrah.

The Fort Hood jihadi Major Hasan, the sole suspect in the jihad massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, worshiped at the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, Virginia. That mosque was led by the devout Muslim imam, Anwar al-Awlaki, who is said to have been a "spiritual adviser" to three of the hijackers who attacked America on Sept 11, 2001.

The preacher at the Dar al-Hirah mosque was also in regular contact with the Christmas balls bomber, who tried to blow up a passenger jet on Christmas day. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab sat on top of the fuel tank (seat 19A) and tried to detonate a bomb hooked up to his tiny genitalia.
